In the assembly workshop of the SERES's super factory, the inspection of chassis screws is becoming increasingly simple.

At this factory, newly assembled new energy vehicles are lifted into the air and, as they slowly pass over the chassis screw inspection station, an industrial camera quickly takes a photo, completing the inspection in one go.

"The data from these inspections will be transmitted to our backend in real-time, and if any irregularities occur, the system will automatically alert us," said Wang Chengwei, a senior staff member of SERES.

There are over 300 such intelligent inspection points throughout the workshop, covering the entire vehicle production process. By leveraging big data, the Internet of Things, 5G, and other technologies, the super factory has achieved 100-percent automation in its key inspection processes.

Furthermore, according to Wang, the factory has over 1,000 intelligent devices and more than 3,000 robots working in coordination with each other. Under full production capacity, the final assembly workshop can roll out an NEV in as fast as 30 seconds.

The intelligent inspection system used in the super factory was developed by Chongqing CAS Theseus Information Technology Co, which is located in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality. It has launched several domestic leading products and provided intelligent solutions to over 100 well-known domestic and foreign enterprises.

By using new technology to transform and upgrade traditional industries, Liangjiang is gradually exploring an effective path to cultivate new quality productive forces.

According to statistics, the new area has implemented a total of 350 intelligent transformation projects, completed 22 smart factories, and 107 digitized workshops, ranking first in the city in terms of quantity.

Over the last four years, Liangjiang has invested over 200 million yuan ($27.68 billion) into supporting the development of high-tech enterprises. By the end of 2023, the number of such enterprises in the new area had reached 930.
