Chinese female opera virtuoso: Huang Ying

Huang Ying is a renowned lyrical coloratura soprano and opera performer. As the first Chinese soprano to play the lead role in an opera film, Huang Ying gained worldwide acclaim for her outstanding performance in the opera film Madame Butterfly. She has graced numerous opera stages worldwide, including the Metropolitan Opera, Cologne Opera, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. She has also starred in various classic operas such as The Marriage of Figaro, Turandot, Carmen, La Traviata, Rigoletto, Der Rosenkavalier.

Huang Ying has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Paris Symphony Orchestra in various concert performances. As a contracted artist with Sony Records, Huang Ying has recorded and released multiple albums that have been distributed globally.
