NPC deputy from WND makes suggestions on increasing employment

Sun Huaqin, a senior engineer at SK Hynix Semiconductor (China) Ltd and a deputy to the National People's Congress, has put forth suggestions regarding issues such as employment and talent cultivation to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress.

"Employment and the welfare of the elderly and children are crucial concerns for society as a whole. This year, I made six suggestions, including promoting full employment and enhancing the high-quality development of community elderly care and childcare services," said the deputy from Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, also known as Wuxi New District.

Working at the forefront of the integrated circuit industry, Sun also pays close attention to talent cultivation. During the two sessions of 2023, she made suggestions on strengthening the cultivation of talent in the semiconductor industry, which received attention and responses from relevant national departments. The Wuxi government has also implemented corresponding policies.

"With the advancement of technology and the upgrading of industries, there have been structural changes in the supply and demand of talents. On one hand, we need to increase efforts in cultivating high-skilled talents, and on the other hand, we need to expand employment opportunities in social welfare industries and enhance the skills of workers," Sun emphasized.
