Jinan plans 30 investment promotion events in 2024

Jinan plans to host around 30 domestic and international investment promotion events throughout the year, according to a news conference themed on projects driving high-quality development on March 7.

The events will mainly include overseas investment promotions such as a Jinan-France economic cooperation exchange in May and key domestic investment promotions such as the fourth China-Japan Industrial Innovation and Development Exchange Conference.

The China-Japan Industrial Innovation and Development Exchange Conference has been held for the past three years, becoming a high-level platform for Jinan to seize new opportunities for the development of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and enhance external openness. This year's event will further optimize and enhance efforts to attract more cooperation.

In addition, each district and county in Jinan will organize a series of activities around four major leading industries – big data information technology, intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment, fine steel and advanced materials, and biomedicine and health, leveraging their own industrial advantages and available resources.

Jinan achieved fruitful results in investment attraction in 2023, with over 10 special investment promotion events held, which resulted in the signing of agreements for more than 130 projects and advancing discussions on over 300 projects. The city also fostered more global partnerships by arranging for delegations to visit countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, and carrying out investment promotion events for major industries.
