The Wuxi National Hi-Tech District unveiled its New Quality Productive Forces Research Center on Feb 28 during a conference promoting new industrialization and technology innovation.
The primary responsibility of the research center is to monitor the latest developments in technologies and explore innovative ways to allocate resources required for transforming technological breakthroughs into industrial advancement. It will serve as a platform for high-level expert exchange and collaboration, aiming to bolster the development of emerging and future industries.
The district, also known as Xinwu district, is one of the first national-level high-tech zones in China and a leader in Jiangsu province's high-quality development. Over the past 30 years, it has transitioned towards prioritizing the introduction of technology-oriented enterprises, instead of being dominated by processing-oriented foreign-funded enterprises.
