21 Ningbo companies listed as national manufacturing champions

Twenty-one companies based in Ningbo, Zhejiang province were recently listed among the eighth batch of national manufacturing champions, a designation reserved for entities holding the largest market share within their respective industries across the country.

The development is poised to elevate Ningbo's total count of such manufacturing champions to 104, making it the first city in the nation to exceed the 100-company milestone.

Of particular note, among the 21 newly listed companies from Ningbo, seven specialize in the new materials sector, signaling the city's expanding industrial expertise in the domain.

Breaking down the geographic distribution, Yinzhou district and the county-level city of Yuyao each have four of these manufacturing champions. Meanwhile, Jiangbei district accommodates three of the companies, whereas Zhenhai district, Beilun district and the county-level city of Cixi each house two, with the remaining entities dispersed across the city's other administrative regions.
