Jinan designates June 12 as talent day

Jinan recently decided to designate June 12 as "Haiyou Talent Day" starting this year, with the "Haiyou Talent Festival" to be held from June 12 to July 12 every year.

In recent years, Jinan has been striving to become a national platform for attracting talent, and to that end, it has been continuously introducing new measures.

In 2022, Jinan organized and optimized its talent policies, issuing a series of talent policies known as the "Double 30 Articles", which were then further improved in 2023 to be presented in list format, allowing a wide range of talent to enjoy various policies related to transportation, housing, medical care, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Last summer, Jinan provided a policy "gift package" to young talent across the country, which included 30 days of free public transportation and subway rides, free access to three major attractions, seven days of free accommodation for jobseekers, and a 20-percent discount at hotels for recreational travelers. Other forms of preferential treatment were also provided in terms of clothing, food, housing, transportation, consumption, and entertainment.

Each year for the past three years, Jinan has attracted over 100,000 talents to the city, with the total amount of talent resources continuing to rise, winning it the title of "China's best city for attracting talents" for two consecutive years.

This year's Jinan Government Work Report has made arrangements for talent recruitment and intelligence introduction, proposing to "comprehensively promote the city's development through science and education and the prosperity of the city through talent", listing it as one of the 12 key tasks for the new year.
