China FAW achieves record high vehicle sales in Jan-Feb

China FAW Group has achieved a remarkable milestone in the first two months of 2024, with its total vehicle sales reaching 448,000 units, marking a significant 17.7-percent year-on-year increase.

Since the beginning of the year, FAW's sales have been consistently on the rise. In January alone, FAW's Hongqi brand achieved a retail sales breakthrough, surpassing 40,300 units, representing an impressive 82.9-percent year-on-year growth. FAW Bestune also experienced a significant milestone, surpassing 10,000 units in sales, reflecting a remarkable 120.87-percent increase in terminal sales. Additionally, FAW's overseas sales for January totaled 11,529 units, showing a remarkable 186-percent year-on-year growth.

The cumulative retail sales for the Hongqi brand from January to February exceeded 65,300 units, demonstrating a substantial 37.56-percent year-on-year growth.

In the January-February period, production began on the Audi C-line and Q-line car models, manufactured by FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun.

Simultaneously, a batch of newly developed self-designed technologies by China FAW will be applied to Hongqi vehicle models. This includes the upcoming launch of new energy products such as the electric platform HME and the intelligent platform HIS. Additionally, other FAW products, such as the Hongqi 4GC20TD hybrid-specific engine and HDU28 hybrid system, will be applied to future Hongqi products.
