Chen Jinchi, a migrant worker from Shatang town in Guyuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, recently got a new job from an electronics company in Fujian province.
He was part of a local program to promote employment.
"My daily job is to produce tempered glass, at a basic monthly salary of 4,000 yuan ($556)," he said. "This income covers my basic living expenses every month."
Chen took a charter flight directly to Fujian for work. He said the government has helped solve everything, and he had no worries, from recruitment to travel expenses.
Many migrant workers agree that the program offers great convenience.
Liu Yanju, from Xinying township of Guyuan, said that because of Ningxia's cooperation with Fujian, she felt the enthusiasm and care of the government and company leaders toward migrant workers.
Liu, who currently works at a plastics company, earns 5,000 to 6,000 yuan monthly, making plastic shoe uppers.
"The work is easy, and our company provides meals and accommodations. Apart from normal expenses, I can also save quite a bit of money," she said.
