On Feb 28, the Tangxun Lake Community Medical Center on Guandong Street and the Central City Community Medical Center on Jiufeng Street began trial operations in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
Adjacent to Yunhu Lake Park, the long-awaited Tangxun Lake Community Medical Center has a building area of 5,621.77 square meters. It will provide comprehensive medical and health care services to approximately 30,000 residents in the area. These services include medical treatment, preventive care, rehabilitation nursing, health education, and pre-hospital emergency care.
The center is equipped with general practice rooms, pediatric clinics, fever clinics, dental departments, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) departments, gynecology departments, vaccination clinics, public health departments, and inpatient departments. It also has auxiliary departments, such as Chinese and Western pharmacies, laboratories, and imaging departments.

The Central City Community Medical Center is located in Optics Valley Central City and is positioned to provide basic medical services, public health services, and specialized services in accordance with the standards of secondary hospitals.
It is expected to meet the basic medical needs of approximately 60,000 residents in the surrounding area. The center occupies a total area of 13,000 sq m, and is equipped with departments for internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, dentistry, and TCM.
Currently, the valley has opened 12 community medical centers, meeting the basic medical and public health needs of 1.2 million people.
