On Feb 27, the 15th EU-China High-level Seminar on Regional Policy Cooperation was held in East China's Jiangsu province. At the event, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality and Ljubljana of Slovenia signed a memorandum of cooperation to carry out collaborative exchanges in the cultural creative field.
According to the memorandum of cooperation, Liangjiang and Ljubljana will jointly explore plans for exchanges of both talents and artists. They will also discuss supporting the exchange and cooperation of chambers of commerce, associations, incubators, accelerators, and other platform institutions. This will be done to promote the exchange, incubation, and cross-border development of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in the creative industry.
Li Guoqiang, deputy director of Liangjiang's modern service bureau, stated that the new area issued an invitation for European partners to work together in regards to exhibitions and conferences, cultural and creative tourism, modern urban construction, industrial design, and cultural integration. This initiative received positive responses from places such as Bydgoszcz in Poland, and Sofia in Bulgaria.
