Heilongjiang team sweeps medals at National Winter Games

The Heilongjiang team secured a remarkable achievement on Feb 25 by claiming several gold, silver, and bronze medals across three disciplines at the 14th National Winter Games, which was held in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

After participating in the cross-country skiing, speed skating, and figure skating competitions, the Heilongjiang team concluded the day with a total of three gold, three silver, and five bronze medals.

In the youth group women's individual short-distance cross-country skiing event, Heilongjiang athletes Jin Ran, Yang Fan, and Li Jie clinched the gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively.

Additionally, Ma Dehui secured the bronze medal in the men's individual short-distance event.

The youth group speed skating competition was also dominated by the Heilongjiang team, as they swept all the medals in the men's 500m event. Liu Bin secured the gold medal, followed by Zhang Yanpeng with the silver medal, and Jiang Dianpeng with the bronze medal. In the women's 1500m race, Chen Aoyu claimed the bronze medal.

Furthermore, in the double's figure skating event, Heilongjiang's combinations secured a clean sweep of the medals.

The pair of Peng Cheng and Wang Lei clinched the gold medal, followed by Zhang Jiaxuan and Huang Yihang with the silver medal, and Zhang Siyang and Yang Yongchao with the bronze medal.
