Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, captivated 80 art enthusiasts from France, Italy, and Kazakhstan with a local intangible cultural heritage display event on Feb 26.
The display earned enthusiastic praise from the international visitors, who also had the chance to try some authentic local delicacies.

"This is my first time visiting Shanxi," said 19-year-old Chiara from Italy, expressing her excitement. She thoroughly enjoyed the performances showcasing local intangible cultural heritage and the local wheat-made food, reflecting the rich and fascinating diversity of Shanxi's culture.
According to An Junyue, deputy director of the Taiyuan bureau of culture and tourism, Taiyuan is a hub for Shanxi cuisine and culture. The event was intended to create a platform for international exchange and cooperation, allowing international visitors to enjoy a feast of culture and food.

Tong Zhenyu, president of the Taiyuan Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, said he hoped that the event would serve as an opportunity to further solidify and expand international sister city relations, promote people-to-people connectivity, and enhance international folk exchanges using intangible cultural heritage as a bridge.
