A 34-year-old artist has painted over 500 pieces depicting buildings, architecture and people's lives in Shijiazhuang, North China's Hebei province.
Ru Yisong, born in the province's Xinji city, used to work in Beijing as a designer after he graduated in 2014.
He returned to Hebei in 2019, hoping to use his drawing skills to record cities' development.
Ru spends roughly an entire day to complete each work, sitting near his subject, typically in a museum, on a street, or at a park.
"My paintings can't keep up with the speed of changes, and I'm very glad that I have recorded them in my drawings," he said.
