A smart tourism program at the Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun, Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently included in a list of national smart tourism projects that feature immersive experience spaces.
This was announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

A smart tourism immersive experience space refers to a new tourism and consumption scenario that features the integration of digital technology, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and cultural creative elements in tourist spaces.
The "Huangguoshu Waterfall Night Tour" is an immersive light and shadow night tour. While preserving the waterfall and surrounding natural environment, the project also utilizes light and shadow technology to create an immersive visual feast that is distinct from daytime experiences. On this tour, visitors can engage in over 10 light-guided interactive activities.

The pilot period for this project is set for two years, during which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will provide guidance and support in project cultivation, technology application, talent development, exchange cooperation, publicity, and promotion work.
