Chongqing's enterprises propel forward after Spring Festival

In the wake of the Spring Festival, enterprises within Chongqing Liangjiang New Area are doubling down on their production efforts in order to start the year on a promising note.Within the stamping workshop of Changan Automobile's factory, cutting-edge fully automatic stamping machines operate at a pace of 15 strokes per minute. Sheets of metal swiftly undergo processes like stretching, trimming, shaping, punching, and folding, transforming into car body components. Meanwhile, in the assembly workshop, a flurry of activity ensues as finished vehicles, including the Avatr 11, Avatr 12, and Deepal SL03 models, roll out.

An official from Changan Automobile highlighted the company's upward trajectory in high-quality development in 2023, culminating in new sales records. "On the first day back to work, everyone enthusiastically dove into tasks, laying a solid foundation for our company's initiatives and setting a positive tone for the year ahead," said the official.

In Liangjiang's Longsheng New City, Chongqing Ganfeng Lithium Technology Industrial Park stands as the largest solid-state battery production base in China. Within its assembly workshop, a full battery pack rolls out in just four minutes. 

"Chongqing serves as a significant hub for new energy vehicle production nationwide, with substantial demand for batteries. Therefore, we resumed production on the fourth day of the Spring Festival, with over 300 employees gradually returning to their posts," explained a representative from Chongqing Ganfeng Power Technology Co.

The intelligence level of Ganfeng's production line has reached 90 percent, ensuring high efficiency and product quality. At full capacity, the company's production output is expected to reach 20GWh, with an estimated value of around 15 billion yuan ($2.08 billion).

Currently, Chongqing Ganfeng Power Technology Co has partnered with Seres and Dongfeng Motor to expedite the delivery of various passenger and commercial vehicle power batteries.

Another enterprise in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing Meilian Int'l Warehouse & Transport (Group) Co is also bustling with activity. At its logistic base, workers are busy packing automobile components that are destined for Southeast Asian markets via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (Guoyuan Port) railway express. A company representative stated that a crucial task this year is to transport more "Made in Chongqing" products to international markets, including Africa and Central Asia.
