During the Spring Festival, Yizhou district, Hechi, witnessed a robust resurgence of traditional customs. The district's celebration was complemented by an eight-day long vacation period, which led to a historic peak in both tourist numbers and total tourism revenue.
The district welcomed 551,400 visitors, marking a 48.82 percent year-on-year increase, with total tourism revenue reaching 337.2 million yuan ($48.2 milion), a 55.39 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Key scenic spots hosted 495,800 visitors, up by 45.44 percent, with business revenue reaching 7.09 million yuan, a 31.29 percent increase year-on-year.
Tourists showed a strong preference for attractions such as the Liu Sanjie Hometown scenic area, Huixian Mountain, and Huaiyuan ancient town. The revival of temple fairs, processions, and other traditional folk activities further enhanced the festive atmosphere during this Spring Festival.
Overall, compared to 2019, there was a 53.72 percent increase in visitor numbers and a 114.78 percent growth in total tourism revenue for the district.
