During the eight-day Spring Festival holiday that lasted from Feb 10 to 17, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport witnessed a total passenger throughput of 554,795 travelers, setting a new record. This averaged 69,300 passengers per day, marking a notable year-on-year increase of 41.63 percent.
On Feb 15, the airport's daily passenger peak reached 76,000, establishing a new historical peak.

The airport also handled 615.44 metric tons of cargo and mail during the holiday, averaging 76.93 tons per day. This reflected a 41.96-percent increase compared to last year's holiday period (Jan 22-29). The airport's number of aircraft takeoffs and landings reached 3,668 over the holiday.
From Feb 4 to 10, the top 10 popular direct flight destinations from the airport were Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Quanzhou, Xiamen, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, and Haikou.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, Jan 26 to March 5, the airport has focused on creating a safe, convenient and warm travel experience.
The airport has upgraded its services for unaccompanied minors, as well as its transfer services, and baggage check-in services, and service connections.
Additionally, the airport has organized a series of activities during the Spring Festival travel rush, including piano music flash mobs, stamp collections and gift distributions, a Chinese New Year goods market, traditional New Year dances of the Miao ethnic group, and tour performances of the Grand Songs of the Dong ethnic group, to foster a lively, celebratory, and harmonious festive atmosphere within the airport.
