During the Chinese New Year holiday, tourism related reservations in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, roared by 105 percent compared to the previous year, with tickets to tourism sites nearly sextupling, according to Ctrip, a Chinese online tourism agency.
During this period, the city's top five popular attractions were the Guanshanhu Lantern Festival Temple Fair, Huaxi Yelang Valley, Qingyan Ancient Town, Tianhetan Tourist Resort, and Guizhou Wildlife Park.

Of note, the Guanshanhu Lantern Festival Temple Fair was also included among the provincial top five popular attractions during this holiday period.
Statistically, the top five tourist source cities traveling to Guiyang were Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The top five destinations favored by tourists from Guiyang were Chongqing, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Bijie.
Furthermore, with self-driving trips seeing heightened popularity, Guiyang has emerged as one of the top 10 destinations for domestic self-driving trips during the Spring Festival holiday.
