Under the new policies, the zone plans to invest over 2.5 billion yuan ($349.07 million) annually to bolster new productive forces, upgrade its industrial structure and foster greater technological innovation.
The focus will be on five core areas: scientific and technological innovation, quality and efficiency, resource security, market demand and the development environment – with the goal of providing a solid foundation for the growth of science and technology-based enterprises.
Moreover, the zone will prioritize special policies for talent, finance and openness. The objective will be to boost financial resources and talent, expand engagement with the global community and provide robust developmental support for science and technology-based enterprises.
On top of that, there will be a specific emphasis on strategic emerging industry clusters such as integrated circuits, biomedicines and other burgeoning strategic sectors. This is designed to introduce new productivity and to enhance the zone's development momentum.
