China-Europe freight train brings New Year goods to Xi'an

The X8010 China-Europe freight train, carrying 1,740 metric tons of non-genetically modified rapeseed oil from Kazakhstan, arrived at Xi'an Guogang Railway Station in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Feb 1.

This marked the arrival of the first special New Year's train of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) service in 2024. These goods will be distributed to the grain and oil markets in Xi'an and its surrounding areas before the Spring Festival.

In order to facilitate the timely purchase of New Year goods brought back by the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an), China Railway Xi'an Group Co and Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group jointly organized an imported New Year goods festival.

More than 500 imported goods from Europe, Central Asia, and other countries, including grain and oil products, Silk Road snacks, vegetables, and meat, are available for purchase through both online and offline channels, meeting everyone's New Year shopping needs.

Throughout 2023, some 103,700 tons of goods imported by Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group were sent back to domestic market by China-Europe freight train (Xi'an), including 67,400 tons of wheat and 24,200 tons of edible oil.

Subsequently, over 3,000 tons of wheat will be transported to Xi'an through the freight train and then distributed nationwide to supply the Spring Festival market.
