Celebrating Year of the Dragon in SND

Authorities of Suzhou New District in Jiangsu recently unveiled a series of celebrations for the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 10 this year.

The celebrations include three brand festivities and other activities organized by local attractions, cultural facilities, and business areas.

The three brand festivities will be held in Taihu Science City, where folk activities such as dragon dancing and blessings from the God of Fortune will be available; Shishan Cultural Square, where sports events such as tennis and running will be arranged; and Dayang Mountain National Forest Park, where activities related to praying for blessings will be organized.

Relying on SND's abundant tourist attractions, local authorities launched six travel routes for hiking, mountain climbing, bird watching, flowers, fireworks, and lanterns.

Libraries, museums, and other cultural facilities in the district plan to organize more than 100 activities such as distributing Spring Festival couplets and guessing lantern riddles.

Various coupons will be issued and consumer promotion measures will also be taken to spur consumption during the upcoming 8-day holiday.
