The Hefei High-tech Zone – located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – held the first session of its new Biomedical Industry Exchange Activity on Jan 30.
Representatives from 30 biomedical and medical device companies in the zone visited three key locations.
These were the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, the Institute of Advanced Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China and CAS Hefei Cancer Hospital.
They carried out learning and exchange activities in the field of biomedicine and conducted talks about their resources in the fields of R&D, clinical trials and product promotions.
In a roundtable discussion session, representatives from medical companies, research institutes and incubators talked about their products, technical advantages and platform services.

They also put forward specific needs in terms of business cooperation, project research and personnel training.
Moving forwards, plans are for the Hefei High-tech Zone to continue to launch a series of Biomedical Industry Exchange Activities. Through learning and exchange activities and other liaisons, it will strive to achieve the high-quality development of the biomedical industry in the zone.
