The "Beyond the Qin Terracotta Warriors Qin Mausoleum Yard K0007" exhibition, jointly organized by the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum and the Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology, opened on Jan 31 in the museum.
The exhibition is open to the public, free of charge, and will run until May 5.
Based on the K0007 archeology yard at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum, the exhibition showcases 57 uniquely crafted pottery figurines and lively bronze statues.
The exhibition tells the story of the K0007 yard, and highlights the exquisite and thoughtful craftsmanship of a bronze waterfowl that was found in the site. This exhibit showcases the innovative craftsmanship of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC).
All the bronze waterfowls on display capture moments of dynamic movements, with some swans standing, some foraging, and others resting. Some cranes are depicted with a bronze insect-like object in their beaks, capturing the moment when they emerge from the water after catching prey.
The K0007 yard was excavated in 2000, yielding a total of 46 original bronze waterfowls, including 20 swans, six cranes, and 20 wild geese.
