Jilin provincial CPPCC opens in Changchun

The second session of the 13th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province on Jan 23.

During the opening ceremony, Zhu Guoxian, chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 13th Jilin Provincial Committee. Li Yue, vice-chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, presented a report on the proposals that were put forward since the first session of the 13th CPPCC.

Over the next four days, CPPCC members will earnestly fulfill their responsibilities, actively provide suggestions, and effectively participate in political affairs. They will focus on major issues concerning regional development and people's livelihoods.
