The new innovation unit for Ijiwei – based in the Grand Union of Innovation, or GUI – was launched on Jan 19 in the core area of the GUI.
Ijiwei is China's leading info and consulting service provider on semiconductors and the information and communications technology or ICT industries. The GUI is a tech hub based in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province.
The Hefei Jiwei Industrial Innovation Base was officially launched on the same day.
The base provides one-stop services for a variety of functions, including industry development, project incubations and technology transfers. Other functions include talent recruitment, policy applications and investment and financing services.
The launch ceremony featured a series of activities, including expert keynote speeches, policy reports, project pitches and free interactions and exchanges.
Eleven pitch guests, over 100 investors and media representatives gathered to discuss the challenges of technology transfers – such as information asymmetry between supply and demand, the difficulty in value assessments and long transformation cycles.
