The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently released a set of upgraded talent attraction and cultivation measures.
According to the measures, top-tier talent will receive up to 100 million yuan ($13.70 million) in research funding, a maximum annual team subsidy of 10 million yuan, a yearly salary of up to 3 million yuan, and a settling-in allowance of no less than 3 million yuan.
High-level talent will be entitled to a settling-in allowance of up to 3 million yuan, research funding of up to 50 million yuan, and a maximum salary of 2 million yuan.
Ordos has designated the second week of August each year as "Talent Week", providing talent with rent-free talent apartments for up to three years, a maximum rental subsidy of 72,000 yuan, and housing provident fund loans exceeding the limit by two times.
Moreover, the city will assist talent in addressing issues such as elderly care, spousal employment, and children's education.
To ensure swift policy implementation, Ordos will establish a comprehensive talent service window and develop a digital talent intelligent service platform to enhance the quality and efficiency of talent services.
