Quinoa flour from Jingle county in Xinzhou city, North China's Shanxi province, was recently air-freighted to France, marking the first export of quinoa flour from Shanxi.
Xinzhou boasts geographical and climatic advantages for nurturing a variety of high-quality local agricultural products, earning it the title of "China's capital of miscellaneous grains". Jingle county is rich in water resources, has abundant sunshine and experiences significant diurnal temperature variations, all of which create an advantage for quinoa planting and production.
"We will help more distinctive products go global, which will promote the high-quality development of Xinzhou's open economy," stated Liu Zheng, deputy director of Xinzhou Customs.
