In addition, Ordos, with an urban innovation capacity index of 36.71, has entered the top 100 Chinese cities in terms of innovation capacity for the first time, ranking 99th.
The Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos region is a key development area and an economic core in the autonomous region. In recent years, the autonomous region has focused on integrated development of Hohhot, Baotou, and Ordos, aiming to create a national independent innovation demonstration zone.
Efforts have been continuously made to strengthen support for scientific and technological innovation in the region. This was done through actively building innovative city clusters in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos area and accelerating the formation of a new pattern of innovation-driven development. This pattern will support and lead the high-quality development of the entire region.
