Experts: Common human values the foundation of world peace and prosperity

An international conference with the theme "Pursuing Harmonious Coexistence of Civilizations Through Dialogue" was held in Beijing on Jan 17.

The conference aimed to establish a platform for dialogue among civilizations. Through discussions of the Chinese nation’s common values and the global significance of its modern civilization, it explored new paths for cultural exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.

Experts, scholars, cultural figures, and vloggers from different countries, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Spain and Brazil, gathered on site and online to share their insights on the topics.

The conference was hosted by China Ethnic News, the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, and the China International Public Relations Association.

Participants held the view that absorbing wisdom from 5,000-plus years of Chinese civilization will contribute ideas and methods for addressing global issues, including ethnic affairs. The innovative spirit, inclusiveness and peaceful nature of Chinese civilization are highlighted as valuable sources for promoting a world of peace, security, prosperity and progress.
