China's night economy came alive with lanterns of various shapes and colors, illuminating tourist sites in two China cities as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
In Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, "The Night of Nanning" night market celebrated its anniversary with vibrant lights and bustling activities on Wednesday. As of Jan 12, the cumulative traffic in the night market exceeded 8.9 million visitors.
Meanwhile, in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, tourists flocked to the Fuzi (Confucius) Temple scenic area during the annual Qinhuai Lantern Festival. This festival is renowned as the longest-lasting and most popular folkloric lantern festival in China.
