Quzhou in Zhejiang province has achieved remarkable progress in alleviating burdens for enterprises. According to official statistics, a series of proactive measures implemented in 2023 resulted in savings of 7.29 billion yuan ($1.02 billion) for local businesses.
These measures include enhancing government services, waiving unemployment insurance premiums, implementing favorable policies, and creating land opportunities for prospective enterprises.
Authorities upgraded digital service platforms to streamline approval procedures, improving government services and providing a more efficient and convenient experience for businesses.
Last year, the city waived a total of 263.92 million yuan in unemployment insurance premiums, benefiting 34,400 enterprises.
Furthermore, Quzhou released a range of policies aimed at providing subsidies to eligible enterprises. In 2023 alone, 450 million yuan was lent to 510 companies, supporting their growth and development.
In addition to these efforts, Quzhou took steps to rectify inefficient industrial enterprises. From January to November last year, issues related to a total of 2,534 inefficient industrial enterprises were addressed, covering an area of 44,300 mu (2,953.33 hectares).
Overall, Quzhou's comprehensive approach to alleviating burdens for enterprises has yielded significant results, fostering a more favorable environment for business growth and development in the region.
