The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China recently announced the 2023 Green Manufacturing List. Huangpu district added nine national-level green factories and two national-level green supply chain management enterprises, accounting for half of Guangzhou's total additions.
Huangpu is actively advancing green development concepts, leveraging the advantages of Guangzhou's first national-level green park to develop green factories and manufacturing systems vigorously.
Currently, the district boasts 29 national-level green factories, eight national-level green supply chain management enterprises, 34 municipal-level green factories, 11 municipal-level green supply chain management enterprises, and 21 types of green design products, leading the city.
Moreover, several enterprises in the district have achieved green transformation through technological innovation. For instance, Guangzhou Nanyang Cable Group optimized electricity usage with its energy management center. At the same time, Guangzhou Baiyunshan Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Holdings enhanced production efficiency and reduced emissions through digitalization and intelligent manufacturing.
Huangpu has introduced a series of policies to support green manufacturing, including the Low Carbon 16 Articles, providing special funds to encourage enterprises to save energy, reduce carbon emissions, and embrace green practices.
Looking ahead, Huangpu will continue to promote green economic development, striving to become a new highland for green economic growth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
