Yuyuan Garden Lantern Show to kick off on Jan 21

The annual Yuyuan Garden Lantern Show will kick off on Jan 21 in Shanghai in celebration of the Chinese New Year. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The Center Plaza of Yuyuan Garden will feature a dragon-themed lantern cluster, while more than 400 fish-shaped lanterns will be arranged in the form of a flying dragon along Ninghui Road.

Admission to the lantern show is free except for the following periods: 10 am to 10 pm from Feb 10 to 16 and from Feb 22 to 25; 2 pm to 10 pm from Feb 17 to 21.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the booths around the Yuyuan Garden.

Prices range from 50 ($6.9) to 80 yuan.
