Forty-four projects in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, have recently made the 2024 provincial list, with a total planned investment of 36.29 billion yuan ($5.08 billion), Wuxi Daily reported recently.
The city led the province and broke records in both the total number of projects and annual intended investment.

Among these projects, 30 are industrial, with 25 falling under the category of strategic and emerging industrial projects. Notable examples include the Autowell lithium battery equipment project, the medium and low-voltage power devices of CRRC in Yixing, and Ncepower headquarters and industrialization base.

Wuxi is also looking strategically ahead in the realms of energy, communications, and port development. The city aims to intelligently upgrade Jiangyin Port with an eco-friendly smart logistics system, enhance the country's competitiveness in supercomputing by improving the intelligent supercomputing system at the National Supercomputing Center in Wuxi, and ensure a stable power supply in the province by utilizing supercritical generating units.
