China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Sinotruk), which is headquartered in Jinan, recently signed commitment letters with its suppliers pledging that all deals will be conducted in good faith and that the quality of its products and services will be improved.

The commitment letters were signed during a supply chain strategic cooperation conference, which was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province on Jan 8 and 9. More than 1,000 global supply chain partners attended the event.

In the letter regarding the conduct of business in good faith, Sinotruk and its suppliers reiterated their firm stance against commercial bribery, affiliated transaction misconduct, unfair tender processes, and guaranteed high-quality standards.

In the commitment letter regarding product and service quality, Sinotruk and its suppliers made a commitment to adhere to regulations, fulfill comprehensive quality standards, and establish a quality management system spanning product development, production and after-sales services.

Sinotruk also signed strategic partnership agreements with 20 domestic and international automotive component companies, including Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen, Continental, Valeo, and Mahle.

Supported by a robust supply chain, Sinotruk has achieved remarkable business growth in recent years. In 2023, it generated an operating revenue of 173.1 billion yuan ($24.2 billion), a year-on-year increase of 44 percent. Its commercial vehicle sales totaled 335,000 units, a 36 percent increase year-on-year and the highest in China's heavy truck industry for two consecutive years. Heavy truck exports exceeded 130,000 units, a record high.
