The G2064 train left Xi'an North Railway Station headed for Qingdao on Jan 10, marking the first electric multiple unit (EMU) train from Xi'an to Shandong province via the Jinan–Zhengzhou High-speed Railway.

This has shortened the travel time from Xi'an to Qingdao to six hours, making traveling more convenient for passengers.

Starting from Jan 10, railways across the country have implemented the train operation chart for the first quarter of 2024.

After adjustment, China Railway Xi'an Group Co adds 14 pairs of passenger trains, including the first EMU train from Xi'an to Qingdao via the Jinan–Zhengzhou High-speed Railway.

The G2064 EMU train passes through seven stations including Luoyang Longmen, Zhengzhou East, Puyang East, Chiping South, Jinan West, Zibo North, and Qingdao.

It is also the first time that a train originating from Xi'an North Railway Station stops at Chiping South Station. This improved high-speed rail network has made travel more convenient for people in Shaanxi, Henan and Shandong.
