Jining, a city in China's eastern Shandong province, has been accelerating its efforts to create a smart city and bolster the implementation of more than 400 smart application scenarios related to areas like smart medical care, smart education, and smart transportation.
The city has also been building a unified smart community management service platform in Shandong province that has led to the formation of 386 smart communities.
Jining's e-governance platform currently allows 112 government services to be accessed online.
The processing time required for such matters has also been reduced by more than 80 percent to an average of 3.78 working days.
The city has formed two electronic certification lists for government services and social services and integrated 120 million pieces of data. In 2023 alone, Jining issued a total of 640,000 electronic certificates.
In addition, Jining has launched the "Lutong Code+" integrated service system, which gives residents convenient access to services such as education, health care and application for social benefits.
Through the construction of application scenarios, Jining has also conducted data aggregation and governance across departments to realize more than 30 application scenarios related to smart urban management matters such as urban flood control.
