An international fashion week has opened in China's "ice city" of Harbin, which has emerged as one of the country's top tourist destinations this winter.
At the opening ceremony of the 10th Harbin International Fashion Week, a special fashion show showcased the inheritance and innovative charm of the clothing of ethnic groups in Longjiang County. The clothing is listed among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage from Heilongjiang province.
A total of 30 globally renowned international designers from 26 countries and regions including China, Russia, France, Thailand, and Singapore are set to showcase their creations at the fashion week from January 11 to 16.
Founded in 2003, the Harbin International Fashion Week has attracted more than 1,300 designers from over 70 countries and regions to its runways.
