The 6th China International Ballet Season wrapped up at Tianqiao Theater in Beijing with two galas on Jan 5 and 6.

Dancers from the National Ballet of China, including Qiu Yunting, Zhao Xinyue and Chang Sinuo, and international ballet dancers, such as Lucia Lacarra, and Matthew Golding, performed in the galas.

Starting from Nov 17, 6th China International Ballet Season brought 23 performances by artists from international ballet companies, such as the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg and the Stuttgart Ballet, which attracted about 28,000 audiences.

A master class by artists of the Eifman Ballet was also held to offer training to young Chinese dance lovers.

The event also marked the 70th anniversary of Tianqiao Theater.

First launched in 2013, the China International Ballet Season, held biennially, has gathered international artists from 59 top ballet companies from 28 countries.
