Taiyuan's Yingze district lauded for competitiveness

Yingze district in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, was recently included on the 2023 list of "China's Top 100 Main Urban Areas in Comprehensive Competitiveness", making it the only district in Shanxi to be included.

The list, authorized by Jixia Think Tank, includes nine primary indicators and 17 secondary indicators. These indicators include economic strength, growth momentum, advanced structure, urban consumption power, residents' income, balanced education, health security, and green development. 

Yingze has prioritized the restoration and expansion of consumption and has made fruitful achievements in building a leading area for consumption upgrading. 

The district boasts several renowned sites. Bell Tower Pedestrian Street was selected as a national-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption cluster area, and a tourism and leisure street. Zhongzheng Tianjie was recognized as a provincial-level nighttime economy cluster area. Senqi Town was included in the provincial-level list of characteristic towns. 

The district is accelerating the cultivation of its digital economy by formulating a development action plan and constructing a high-standard digital economy industrial park. It's also advancing the development of its financial sector by introducing high-quality financial resources.
