The Shaanxi Inbound Tourism Seminar, themed on "New Opportunities, New Power, New Situation, and New Image", opened in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Jan 8.
More than 200 people from inbound tourism companies from Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Chengdu, Lhasa, Zhangjiajie, Hangzhou and Shaanxi, as well as representatives from key foreign travel agencies, online travel agencies, and tourism think tanks, participated in the seminar.
The seminar aimed to take advantage of the country's latest batch of favorable policies for inbound tourism, seize new opportunities for inbound tourism in Shaanxi, and inject new impetus into Shaanxi's inbound tourism sector.
Zheng Xiaoyan, Party member and deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said in her speech that over the years, Shaanxi has given full play to its rich cultural tourism resources and convenient tourism transportation to deepen international exchanges.
Over the last 10 years, the province has received nearly 26 million inbound visits, achieving fruitful results in international cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation.
The Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will also take the seminar as an opportunity to further strengthen information exchange and resource sharing with participants, aiming to stimulate the consumption potential of its inbound tourism sector.
