Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding delivered 23 vessels weighing 2.9 million deadweight tons in 2023.
Its most notable achievement that year was the launch of China's first domestically-built large-scale cruise ship, Adora Magic City.
Among the 23 vessels were 12 medium-sized container ships with a capacity of 7,000 TEUs, seven LNG dual-fuel powered capsized bulk carriers with a capacity of 190,000 tons, two Aframaxtype oil tankers with a capacity of 114,000 tons, and one world-first Fast4Ward universal FPSO with a capacity of 300,000 tons.
The shipbuilding output of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding continues to remain at the forefront of the global industry. Both operating revenue and business order commitments have reached new historical highs.
Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has completed the dual-fuel upgrade and replacement of all its traditional flagship products. The portfolio of ordered vessel types has become more diversified, the product structure has been optimized, and the technological reserves have been strengthened.
In addition, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has been following the wave of digitalization and has been promoting collaborative research and development in various areas, including enterprise management, design, and construction.
