Xi'an acts to advance development of culture, tourism and sports

Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, rolled out measures for the high-quality development of its culture, tourism and sports industries.

By implementing these measures, the city aims to stimulate the vitality of market entities, and promote the development of industrial gathering, structural optimization, and upgrading.

The city will accelerate the creation of a number of national and provincial cultural industry demonstration bases that will cover the entire industrial chain.

Efforts will also be made to encourage creation and production of localized and original films, TV series, animations, and short videos.

Public cultural and sports facilities and venues will be given more support in order to enhance their tourism and leisure functions.

Xi'an will promote the rapid development of study tours, museum tours, industrial heritage tours, and folk culture tours, to further advance the in-depth integrated development of its culture, tourism, and sports sectors.

The city's digital tourism economy has also been highlighted for development. The expansion of new business formats such as online broadcasts, digital exhibitions, and online audio-visuals will be encouraged.

Meanwhile, the city will also establish a financial service system that will increase credit extensions for demonstration projects that integrate culture, tourism and sports.
