Changshan works to advance integrated development of primary, secondary, tertiary industries

Qingshi town in Changshan county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province has in recent years been exploring ways to advance the integrated development of its primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

For example, the town, which is best known for growing grapefruit, has established an agricultural industrial park to develop deep-processed pomelo products such as canned pomelo, pomelo juice, pomelo fruit preserves, and pomelo wine.

Zhang Xiaocheng, an experienced pomelo farmer appointed an expert to run the industrial park, said that the deep processing of pomelo is key to boosting the town's pomelo industry, which will in turn increase the added value of the town's pomelo and residents' incomes.

Authorities have also built a sightseeing path on the western side of the industrial park, where tourists can enjoy stunning views of pomelo forests. They can also try their hands at planting and picking pomelo at the plantation.
