Beijing Capital International Airport is expected to see more international passengers next year, airport management said on Thursday.
The airport is expected to handle more than 52 million passenger trips this year, with the volume of domestic passenger trips returning to about the same level as in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airport is expected to handle 380,000 flights this year, carrying 52.85 million passengers. It now offers routes to 207 destinations in 47 countries.
The airport is expected to handle 12 million international passenger trips next year, management said. Numbers on its routes to and from Europe and the United States currently account for 30 percent of the capacity in China.
