Zhang Chunlin, deputy Party secretary of North China's Shanxi province, met with a delegation from Iran on Dec 24 in the provincial capital Taiyuan.
Zhang briefly introduced the situation in Shanxi, including its recent socioeconomic development, environmental protection, grassroots governance, and rural revitalization.
He expressed the Shanxi authority's willingness to further strengthen personnel exchanges and economic and trade cooperation with local governments in Iran within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
He also emphasized the importance of practical cooperation in areas such as cultural heritage protection and restoration, as well as energy development and utilization.
Ghodratali Heshmatian, chairman of the House of Parties of Iran, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and support received from various bodies in Shanxi. He expressed his willingness to engage in multi-field exchanges and cooperation with Shanxi, and said he looked forward to accelerating the implementation of agreed projects between Iran and China, benefiting the people of both countries.
