A photography exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of sister city relations between Jinan and Wakayama in Japan was held in Jinan on Dec 20.
Fifty works showcasing the landscapes, natural scenery, and folk customs of Wakayama were exhibited.
Pang Long, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jinan, said the event is aimed at further strengthening friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
Wakayama will also host a six-day photography exhibition starting from Jan 30, 2024 to showcase photography works from Jinan. During the exhibition, various Chinese cultural experience activities will be held to allow the Japanese to learn more about Jinan.
Over the past 40 years, the two sides have maintained frequent exchanges and undertaken cooperation in fields such as culture, education, and sports.
