The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area has kicked off the third edition of its local Double 12 Shopping Festival in a bid to invigorate the local economy.
Including 59 businesses, the event has already stirred significant consumer interest. Despite being a regular workday, it has enticed visitors to explore and ask questions at a local car dealerships.
Businesses participating in the activity help customers to download the UnionPay app, providing vouchers ranging from 1,000 yuan ($139.9) to 4,000 yuan based on the purchased vehicle model. These vouchers can be used at affiliated businesses, hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets within the area.
Throughout the year, the area has concentrated efforts on sectors like automotive, retail, and hospitality, distributing 11 million yuan in vouchers. Upgrades and renovations have also been carried out on commercial districts aimed to elevate the overall consumer experience.
Responding to the diverse needs of the community, car dealerships also tailored exhibitions for office workers, moving the exhibiting space next to the office building, attracting praise for its accessibility and year-end discounts.
Looking ahead, the area will continue to make efforts to shape a vibrant industrial center, fostering a high-quality and fashionable business district in the southern core and solidifying its position as a hub for local consumption.
