WND's headquarters economy receives new boost

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce recently announced a new list of regional headquarters and functional departments of multinational companies in the province. Bodycote (Wuxi) Technology Co Ltd was among the regional headquarters listed, while Faurecia (Wuxi) Seating Components Co Ltd was among the functional departments.

The two companies are both located in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District, also known as Wuxi New District.

Bodycote (Wuxi) Technology Co Ltd, established in 2005, is the first wholly-owned enterprise set up in China by the UK-based Bodycote Group. Specializing in heat treatment processing and material testing, the company serves numerous globally-renowned automotive, medical device, and aerospace component companies. As the group's Asia-Pacific headquarters, the company is responsible for the management of four legal entities of Bodycote in China.

Faurecia (Wuxi) Seating Components Co Ltd, established in 2003, is the first wholly-owned Chinese company owned by Faurecia, a global top 100 automotive components supplier. The company primarily manufactures recliners and height adjusters.

Faurecia has also set up its Asia-Pacific Research and Development Center for Components in Wuxi to provide design and technical support for the group's Asia-Pacific market. Its collision test center in Wuxi is one of its most advanced collision test centers globally.

The WND has actively integrated into the global industrial chain in recent years and expanded its openness to create a fair, transparent, and convenient investment environment. It encourages foreign enterprises to increase R&D investment and enhance product quality and competitiveness.

Currently, the district is home to 10 provincial-level regional headquarters and 13 functional departments, accounting for 46 percent of the city's total.

WND will continue to intensify efforts to introduce and nurture headquarters of multinational corporations. It aims to provide more professional services to facilitate higher-quality development for foreign-invested enterprises.
